DiscoverIPO pulls new filings hourly from four securities regulators — the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC EDGAR), the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the UK Financial Conduct Authority (National Storage Mechanism), and Japan's Financial Services Agency (EDINET). A company shows up the moment it has filed, been approved or announced its intention to go public, and moves automatically to Recently Listed once its offering prices or lists. Already-public companies raising more capital, SPACs, and funds are deliberately excluded — this is IPOs only.
Where a company has filed a full prospectus, an AI model reads it and produces a plain-language summary — business overview, revenue model, competitive strengths, risk factors, and use of proceeds — validated before display rather than trusted blindly. Where the regulator's record is only a short registration entry with no prospectus to summarize, DiscoverIPO shows a web-researched overview instead — always labeled with which one it is. Full detail on how every source and exclusion rule works is on the Methodology page.
